KONAN CHIANG, M.D.
Hematology/Oncology
A member of Middletown Medical, P.C. since 1996, Dr. Chiang is a graduate of Byramjee Jeejabhoy Medical College in India. She completed her surgical training at India's King Edward Memorial , attended Columbia University in NY, and was a surgical resident and research associate at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, NY. She went on to complete her Internal Medicine residency training at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Medical Center, and her post-doctoral fellowship training in Oncology and Hematology at St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center.
Dr. Chiang chose to specialize in Hematology/Oncology based on her experience as a relative of a cancer patient: not understanding the overall management of the disease and poor communication. For most cancer patients facing the devastating news, there is a feeling of helplessness and loss of control. Her goal is to educate, present alternative treatment options and help patients make the right choices, and feel more in control of their disease.
