Jyoti
Juneja is a graduate of the University of Dallas in
Texas, where she received her Masters Degree in Communications
Disorders with an emphasis in Audiology. During her studies there,
Jyoti conducted in-depth research in the rapidly changing field of
cochlear implants, giving her a broader understanding of the
potential to help those who are profoundly deaf or severely hard of
hearing. She completed 2 1/2 years of audiological internships at
various clinics, medical practices and hospitals throughout Dallas
after graduating from California’s University of Riverside with a
bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. Jyoti’s chosen career as an
Audiologist combines her life-long interest in the field of science
with her natural ability to help others.
Jyoti has gained
extensive experience working as an Audiologist and Educational
Trainer for major manufacturers of hearing instruments. She was
responsible for patient care through comprehensive audiological
testing and specialized in hearing aid fitting for “hard to fit”
patients. Jyoti offers complete patient care for hearing impaired
adults and children. From evaluation, circuit selection, fitting,
verification and modification, she is adept at assisting her
patients in choosing the best hearing instrument based on hearing
loss, lifestyle and individual needs. Counseling patients and their
families is an integral part of her job in helping people develop
the best strategies to cope with both the emotional as well as the
physical aspects of hearing loss. Jyoti is a member of the American
Speech Language Hearing Association. She has a wide range of
clinical expertise in diagnostic audiology, auditory processing (how
the brain recognizes and interprets sound), as well as complete
audiological evaluations. |
