Dr. Karimi
earned a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree from Dow Medical
College at the University of Pakistan in Karachi. She then
completed clinical training in General Medicine and Surgery at the
Civil Hospital in Karachi and opened a private practice there before
moving to the United States to join her husband.
Through Yale
University’s medical program, Dr. Karimi completed her
Internal Medicine internship and two-year residency at Connecticut’s
Danbury Hospital. She served a two-year fellowship in Nephrology and
kidney disease at the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New
York. Following her post-graduate training, Dr. Karimi moved
to upstate New York and settled in Mineville in 1999. She worked
for several years at the Mineville Health Center and Orange
Nephrology before joining Middletown Medical, P.C.
Dr. Karimi is
board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology by the American
Board of Internal Medicine. She is a member of the American Society
of Nephrology and the American Medical Association. A distinguished
member of Middletown Medical, Dr. Karimi manages her practice
with a focus on prevention, treatment and management of hypertension
and kidney diseases. |
